FirstChoicecarImports.com is a registered business name of First Choice Car Imports Ltd.

 

The service provided by First Choice Car Imports Ltd is to facilitate through assistance, all paperwork and documentation both with respect to Japanese exporters, shipping companies and governmental/regulatory bodies in relation to the purchase and import by customers of second-hand vehicles from Japan to the country specified by the customer.

 

First Choice Car Imports Ltd, Charges an agency fee of £550 +VAT, to provide this service, This fee must be paid by bank transfer to our Barclays Bank PLC account, Details will be given.

 

At car auctions in Japan, vehicles are inspected and given a Report Sheet which gives Lot Number & Description of vehicle: FirstChoicecarImports.com has no responsibility for the condition of the vehicle, whether on purchase or when it arrives in port and shall not be held responsible for any defects whether mechanical, structural, design or otherwise in the vehicle.

 

The vehicle Report Sheet is written in Japanese and when requested we will provide translations; We FirstChoiceCarImports.com aims to provide an accurate translation but is not responsible for any omissions, misinterpretations or otherwise and First Choice Car Imports Ltd recommends that customers look into having their own independent translation done.

 

Deposits will only be accepted in the following currency, Sterling Pounds (GBP)

 

Before we can place bids on a vehicle, a Deposit is required, Deposits are fully refundable if no purchase is made.

 

By advising us to place a bid at Japanese Auctions, customers commit to make a purchase: if bid is successful the Deposit is used towards the purchase.

 

Bids accepted from customers in Ireland and U.K. will include the following: Cost including Freight (C.I.F.), local importation charges, Value Added Tax and Import Duty charges.

 

For all other countries bids are accepted on a Cost including Freight basis only. Costs associated with registration of vehicles or vehicle assessment is not included in customers bid.

 

Deposits are payable by PayPal, charges deducted by PayPal are payable by the customer. If customer enters a condition with bid (e.g. “Only bid if car has Leather interior”), First ChoiceCar Imports Ltd will endeavour to get this information, but if it cannot, the bid will be cancelled.

 

Deposit is refundable at any stage before a purchase is made. Where a stock vehicle has been reserved a deposit of £500 is required, This can be cancelled within 14 days,However £100 will be deducted to cover the admin fee for changing the Bill of Lading

 

All bids must be agreed prior to FirstChoiceCarImports.com Bidding, The customer must confirm this in writing.

 

If bid by U.K. customers is successful First Choice Car Imports Ltd will issue an Invoice requiring minimum 75% of the total invoice price to be paid within 3 working days, with balance to be paid 10 days before ship arrives in port.

 

For customers from all other countries First Choice Car Imports Ltd requires 100% payment within 3 working days.

All payments must be made by cleared bank transfer only.

 

Documents required for Customs Clearance and Vehicle Registration will not be released until full payment is received by cleared funds in our bank account.

 

If vehicle is especially low or wide it may require specialist transport: We cannot verify this until the vehicle is purchased: in this situation any additional costs associated with shipping will be included in the Invoice as an additional charge.

 

If any work, mechanical or otherwise, is required to ensure the vehicle is acceptable for shipping the costs involved will be invoiced directly to the customer and must be paid before vehicle leaves the port in Japan.

 

When payment is received from customer we will send payment for the vehicle to its agent in Japan to enable the shipping process ,shipping is dependent on availability, scheduling and receipt of the necessary export paperwork.

 

First Choice Car Imports Ltd strives to minimise delays but it is not responsible for any delays in obtaining a booking or delays after vehicle has departed Japan. First Choice Car Imports are not liable for any delays 

in shipping or tranship.

 

If payment is not received by the due date First Choice Car Imports Ltd will retain customer deposits and will invoice customer for any additional charges that arise to have the vehicle re-auctioned.

 

If insurance was taken out and a vehicle is damaged or is a total loss during shipping, customer must file a claim with the shipping company: terms and conditions of any insurance provided are outlined by the shipper on their website and on the Bill of Lading provided to the customer.

 

Claims must be notified to the shipping company before the vehicle leaves the custody of the port security.

 

Vehicles are ONLY consigned in the customer’s name, if full payment is made before leaving Japan

 

Deposit can be returned at anytime as long as no bids have been won. if a bid has been accepted then the purchase is deemed as contract, customers who wish to cancel at this stage will lose their deposit and may be liable for auction charges, Our Agency fee is not refundable once it has been paid.

Vehicle Sales (STOCK), excluding those imported to order are supplied with either 30 or 90 days warranty depending on age, condition and mileage, This will be confirmed on application or purchase, Please note we are not car dealers we supply imported vehicles based on the auction grade and sheet which has been assessed by the auction inspectors, Cars offered for sale are covered up to a maximum of 10% of the vehicle purchase/sale price, (total claim not per claim)We will only cover engine & gearbox up to this value, using used parts. Please remember these are non UK vehicles, that are not new and do carry an element of risk, We suggest that if you are concerned then there are companies who will provide after market warranties for more peace of mind. Vehicles we import and sell are sold in good faith and are fully roadworthy at time offered for sale. Mots are conducted by independent garages.

Warranties are not offered on any vehicle imported to order, or sold "AS IS " trade or damaged repaired cars. However third party warranties can be purchased prior to collection.
